Abstract

The effect of high pressure on the d.c. transport of several AgI-based fast ion-conducting glasses is presented. The variations are discussed in the light of cluster model of glasses. Systems which possess network like structure seem to behave differently from those in which only discrete anions are present. $Ag_4P_2O_7$ glass which also has high conductor seems to crystallize under pressure.
