Abstract
Fine-particle dielectric oxide materials, $MTiO_3, MzrO_3$, (where M = Ca, Sr, Ba and Pb), $Pb(Zro_{0.53},Tio_{0.47})O_3$, and $Pb_{0.92}La_{0.08}(Zr_{0.65}Ti_{0.35})_{0.98}O_3$ have been prepared by the combustion of an aqueous solution, containing stoichiometric amounts of the corresponding metal nitrate and tetraformyl triazine mixture, at $350^0C$ for a few minutes. The combustion-derived dielectric oxides are fine and have a large surface area $(12-30 m^2 g^{-1})$. The powders, when pelletized and sintered at $1200^0C$ for 1 h achieved a 92-95% theoretical density.
