Raman spectra of fast ion conducting $AgI-AgPO_3$ glasses have been investigated as a function of composition and temperature. Only an average anionic environment is indicated for $Ag^+$ ions. The spectroscopic variations have been found to be consistent with the model of structural unpinning proposed earlier by the authors.
