Abstract
The proton spin-lattice relaxation time $T_1$ and second moment $M_2$ have been measured in dihydrazinium sulphate $(N_2H_5)_2SO_4$ in the temperature range $77 \sim 300 K$ to understand the nature of molecular motions. Two $T_1$ minima and an $M_2$ transition have been observed. The observed $T_1$ minima have been explained in terms of the reorientation of two inequivalent $NH_3$ groups. The second moment behaviour has been interpreted in terms of $NH_3/NH_2$ motions. The activation energies of the inequivalent $NH_3$ groups are found to bc 28.9 and $28.5 kJ mol^1$.
