Abstract

Glass-phenolic composites, filled with $SiC$ particles in the range 1–4 vol.% of resin, were prepared and flexure, interlaminar shear strength and impact tests were done to evaluate the mechanical properties. In all the tests, a minimum in values was recorded, following which a rising trend was observed. Scanning microscopy examination was also done to analyse the fracture features of failed samples.
