Natural language interfaces provide flexible, natural and the-way-it-should-be interfaces. Analysis of natural language sentences involves not only syntactic analysis but also semantic analysis. We describe object-oriented approaches for the semantic analysis of Indian languages. The paper describes how the merits of object-oriented methodology can be exploited for semantic parsing of natural language sentences. The rapid prototyping capabilities of object-oriented systems helps one visualize the practical aspects of the abstract ideas under consideration.
