Abstract
The authors discuss the design and implementation of a flexible LINDA system on a distributed memory parallel computer built using transputers. The implementation is for LINDA 2. The implementation is novel in the sense that it is highly modularized and, it can be adapted and fine tuned for new applications easily. Another unique feature is that it supports recursively defined functions within an eval() operator. An example application has been run and results show that modularization has not resulted in inefficiency.
