Abstract

Symbolic model checking is a technique to represent a very large state space compactly using Boolean decision diagrams without explicitly constructing the state graph. In this paper, we use a symbolic model verifier (SMV) that follows this approach to verify a simplified version of the cache consistency protocols of Stanford's DASH (Directory Architecture for SHared memory) multiprocessor
