Abstract

In this paper, the principle of compulsator has been described. An explicit analytical model for analysis of the compulsator has been derived. This paper also demonstrated explicitly the effect of using compensating winding by numerical solution of the developed machine differential equations, by comparing an uncompensated machine with a compensated machine, which is not available in the references. It is seen that the compensation effect is to increase peak current and influence pulse shaping
