Abstract
The Modified Kinetic Flux Vector Split Method, in short called as the m − kfvs method [1, 2] belongs to the family of low dissipative kinetic schemes [11, 8, 1] where a molecular velocity dependent function has been used as a dissipation control parameter. In this report we have presented some of the interesting mathematical properties of the m−kfvs method. In section 2 we have presented briefly the basic theory behind the m − kfvs method.
