Abstract

Intelligent power modules (IPM) play a crucial role in the evolution of motor control technology. These modules combine various power semiconductor devices, such as MOSFETs and IGTs, along with control circuitry in a compact and integrated package. As the number of electrical motors continues to grow, IPMs offer efficient and reliable solutions for smart and modern Motor Control applications, addressing the increasing demand for CO2 reduction and energy efficiency. The abstract concludes with an acknowledgement of the critical role IPMs play in shaping the future of motor control, fostering progress and sustainability across diverse sectors. © 2024 IEEE.
