Abstract

The removal of copper from effluents using LIX 864 was studied in a two compartment diffusion type of cell sepd. by a microporous membrane. The extn. experiment were carried out for various concentration of copper, LIX and pH. The results show that initial rates of extn. are controlled by reaction, while the latter extn. rates were controlled by diffusion
