Abstract

The individual electrode impedance parameters and internal resistance of a sealed nickel/metal-hydride cell are obtained by a galvanostatic non-destructive technique. The resistive components of the cell are found to be minimum for a state-of-charge value of about 60%. The results suggest that operation of nickel/metal-hydrice cells within 50% depth-of-discharge would elevate cycle life.
