Abstract

A differential temperature controller (DTC) has been designed and incorporated in a solar water heating (SWH) system to control the operation of the electrically operated water circulation pump. The influence of the DTC on the performance of the SWH system and a quantitative study of the pump electrical energy savings are reported.
