Abstract

Simultaneous desulfurization and dephosphorization of En24 steel using $Na_2CO_3$ was studied. Flux compn. for remelting was 60 $CaF_2$-20 CaO-20% $Al_2O_3$ with regular addns. of $Na_2CO_3$. Simultaneous dephosphorization (35-40%) and desulfurization(65%) was achieved in electroslag remelting of En24 steel.
