Abstract

Microstrip position sensitive detectors based on "charge division method" have been developed. In order to increase the resistance between two successive anodes, a meandering resistive strip structure is adopted. This provides greater control over the resistance between successive anodes. Measured position nonlinearity with this structure is very low and is less than 0.29%. Position resolution up to 0.48 mm has been obtained for x rays with $Xe + CH_4$ mixture at 2.1 bar.
