Abstract
Serpentine folded waveguide travelling wave tube (TWT) is designed and fabricated using photo chemical etching of thin copper sheets which are stacked in a jig cavity to realize the complete circuit with flanges and beam hole. Cold parameters and beam wave interactions are studied using HFSS and CST Particle in Cell simulations, respectively. Peak power of 10W is achieved for an input power of 100mW for a 60mm long circuit at 95 GHz. Saturation Gain of 35 dB is achieved for entire W-band (87 - 96 GHz) for this circuit.
