Abstract

Ethanolic extract of Centratherum anthelminticum seeds yields six new compounds-hexatetracontane-16-ol 1, 6, 9-icosadiene 2, butyl 11-hydroxyoctadecanoate 3, hexyl 3-hydroxynonanoate 4, hexyl 9-hydroxyheptatriacontanoate 5, heptadecyl nonadecanoate 6 and one known compound (24alpha/S)-stigmasta-5,22-diene-3beta-ol 7 characterised by spectral data and chemical evidences.
