$Ln(N_2H_3CO_2)3.3H_2O$ (Ln = Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb, and Y) and $UO_2(N_2H_3CO_2)2.N_2H_4.H_2O$ were prepared and characterized by chemical analysis. and IR spectra. Simultaneous thermogravimetry (TG)-differential TG-DTA of Ln$(N_2H_3CO_2)3.3H_2O$ show that the thermal decompositions occur through carbonate and oxycarbonate intermediates to the respective oxides. The oxide formation temperature are lower than the corresponding oxalates and acetates. $UO_2(N_2H_3CO_2)2.N_2H_4.H_2O$ decomposes to U3O8 as the final product of decompositions.
