Abstract

The stabilization (aging) processes and operating characteristics of ZnS:Mn thin film a.c. electroluminescent devices doubly insulated with $Y_20_3$ are dependent on the deposition conditions of the insulator for a given ZnS growth technique. During stabilization the amorphous $Y_20_3$ is converted to a polycrystalline film and the number of trap centres at the $Y_20_3-ZnS:Mn$ interface increases.
