Abstract

The heat transfer and temperature profiles of insulation layers are analyzed in an Al dewar (vol. 7.5 L) on the basis of the R. S. Mikhal Chenko et al. (1968) procedure. The heat-transfer rate is correlated with the conduction through the neck, radiation through the insulation layers, conduction through the insulation, and residual gas conduction.
