Abstract

The n = 1 and n = 3 members of the new $(T1, Pb)$ $Sr_{n+1}Cu_nO_{2n+3}$ series of cuprates possess primitive tetragonal structures. While the n = 3 member is superconducting $(T_c \sim 60K)$, the n = 1 member is metallic immaterial of the $T1/Sr$ ratio.
