Abstract
Single crystal cored fibers (SCCF) of 4-nitro-4'-methylbenzyledene aniline (NMBA), (-)2-(\alpha- methylbenzylamino)- 5-nitropyridine (MBA-NP), and ethoxy methoxy chalcone (EMC) have been grown in glass capillaries from their melts with internal diameters ranging from 20 to 50 $\mu m$ and lengths up to 5 cm for use as waveguides. The details about the experimental procedure and the technique adopted to fabricate SCCF of the above mentioned materials are reported. The fibers have been characterized using X-ray diffraction and polarizing microscopic techniques.
